1. We teach the Science-Based Technique
- they all teach the Evidence-Based Technique.
2. The Science-Based Technique is advanced 21st Century
- Evidence-Based is 19th and 20th century.
3. Our program is totally and exclusively dedicated to Vein
Access and Point-of-Care procedures.
- they teach a Terminology 'of the entire body' class,
English, Communication, Claims filing - courses
that have nothing to do with phlebotomy.
4. We DO NOT require: an application
a criminal background check
a drug screen
an immunization record, current
a physical exam
literacy testing
math testing
- they require ALL of these and more, at your expense.
5. Our program is only 4 days - ALL SCIENCE, ALL APPLIED.
- their programs are 9 months, no science, trial and error.
6. Our program is taught by Bachelor's degreed individuals whose
field of study is in Biology, Pre-med, Med Tech - ALL SCIENCE
-the other programs are taught by other phlebotomists -
non-degreed, non-science educated staff.
7. There are usually only 2-4 students per class
- there are anywhere from 15-30 students per their class.
8. Our program starts almost weekly - because of the 2-4 student
attendance.
- their programs run twice per year, because of the 9 months
and the multiple students.
9. Our program requires only two sticks - this skill is learned long
before you stick any human - there are no 'practice' draws.
- their programs require 90-100 sticks, trial-n-error, on
each other, over the 9 months or 2 semesters.
10. Our program cost $985.00 and this in ALL inclusive: book, kit
and all supplies. No other costs.
- their programs range from $1500.00 - $25,000.00 and
students pay for all of the above listed items in #4 and
extra for books, scrubs, insurance, and a certification fee.
